SO CLOSE FOR ENDEAVOUR HILLS UNDER 16’s
In a first versus second clash at Singleton Reserve on Sunday, the Hallam foreign legion dominated the first three quarters to lead by 45 points at three quarter time. After scoring the first goal of the last term, the lead blew out to 49 points before a resurgent Endeavour Hills showed heart and a willingness to keep running as the opposition stopped to a walk. When the siren blew only five points separated the teams with time denying the Eagles what seemed an unlikely victory. Nevertheless, Endeavour Hills will learn much from this encounter and will look forward to reaquainting themselves with Hallam in the finals. Compliments to both teams in the spirit in which this game was played. Congratulations to Trevor Davies who played his 150th game for Endeavour Hills, Josh Milz for playing his 100th and Anthony Messina his 50th. UNDER 9
In the early game at Singleton on Sunday, the Eagles took on North Dandenong. In a good game by both sides, it was great to see a game played in good spirit, with Endeavour Hills lending the opposition players throughout the match. Daniel Batson, Liam Scott, Matthew Bolitho and Darcy Kilpatrick all had good games.

UNDER 10/1
Hosting Cranbourne at Charles Green on Friday in the club’s first Friday night fixture for the season, the Eagles came up against a determined well-disciplined side. Although they were well beaten on the scoreboard, the boys fought hard for the ball and didn’t give in for the whole four quarters.  Best were James Pattison, Steven Reiger and Aaron Mortamurolo. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 1.3.9 Lost to Cranbourne 12.12.84.

UNDER 11/2
Taking on Noble Park away, the Eagles got off to a bad start before fighting back well in a great game of football. Though beaten, all the boys put in with excellent teamwork. Best players were Dean Kelly, Ben Taylor, Josh Milroy and Kieren Ballie. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 7.5.47 Lost to Noble Park 11.9.75.

UNDER 12/1
Playing Hampton Park away, the boys played catch-up football for most of the match. Against a bigger and stronger opponent, the Eagles will learn a lot from this game. Best players were Shane Peake, Daniel Ratcliffe and Sean Kelleher. Thanks to Brad Virgona and Matthew Batson for filling in. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 5.9.39 Lost to Hampton Park 9.8.62.

UNDER 12/2
Playing Mossgiel Park, the Eagles started well, but lapsed in concentration to allow the opposition to run away with the game. According to Coach Rex Ashendon, his team is very capable of playing good football, but must learn to play for four quarters. No best players were named. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 1.2.8 Lost to Mossgiel Park 14.15.99.

UNDER 13/1
In a scrappy game against Beaconsfield, the opposition didn’t allow the Eagles to get their run on game going. Although Endeavour Hills had a big win, full credit to Beaconsfield for sticking to their task for four quarters. Best were Matthew Handby, Chris Sharban and David Welling. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 21.23.149 Def Beaconsfield 3.1.19.

UNDER 13/2
Taking on Noble Park for the second time this season, the Eagles kept with their more fancied opponents for most of the match before being overrun in the last term. With a vast improvement since their teams last met, the Eagles can take much from the game. No best players were named. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 5.7.37 Def Noble Park 10.14.74.

UNDER 14/1
Taking on Beaconsfield at Singleton, four good quarters of running football saw the Eagles run out big winners. Best on ground was Jason McCloy who booted 10 goals with good support from Rohan Nayna and Scott Musgrove. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 28.20.188 Def Beaconsfield 0.3.3.

UNDER 14/2
Hosting Mossgiel Park on Friday night at Charles Green, the Eagles came up against a faster and stronger opponent. The game was played in excellent spirit by both sides with Mossgiel Park coming out easy winners. Best for Endeavour Hills were Jason Randall, Peter Dye, Matt Barton and Steven Tognazzini. Congratulations also to Leigh Welsh for playing his 100th game for the Eagles. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 2.6.18 Lost to Mossgiel Park 19.8.122.

UNDER 15/1
Playing away to North Dandenong, the Eagles got off to a slow start before finishing off the match well for a big win. Best players were Shannon Dubois, Nick Benbow and Matthew Velardo. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 17.14.116 Def North Dandenong 6.4.40.

UNDER 16/2
Travelling away to play Glen Hawks, Endeavour Hills played undisciplined football from the first bounce and this was reflected on the scoreboard. A couple of hard weeks on the training track should see the boys recapture their earlier form. Best on the day were Dane Gosper, Kane Jeffreys, Josh Staker and Jeremy Diaz. Congratulations also to Kane Jeffreys who played his 100th game for the Eagles. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 8.9.57 Lost to Glen Hawks 16.16.112.

UNDER 17
Taking on 5th placed Bentleigh/Caulfield, Doveton/Endeavour Hills recorded a comfortable 34-point victory. The team are travelling well at the moment with the acid test to come as they play top four teams in the coming weeks. Best were Ashley Condon, Steven Wulf, Nathan Batty and Callam Pattie. Final Scores: Doveton/Endeavour Hills 9.14.68 Def Bentleigh/Caulfield 5.4.34.
