ENDEAVOUR HILLS UNDER 13’s HOME IN A THRILLER
In a thriller at Charles Green on Saturday night, Endeavour Hills took on Fountain Gate. At the first change the Eagles trailed by 37 points. They bridged the gap to 25 points by half time but still had plenty to do. By three quarter time, the lead had been whittled down to just 4 points, and in a tense last term Endeavour Hills hit the lead and held on in a fighting win. UNDER 17
Taking on Highett on Sunday, Doveton/Endeavour Hills had a strong win to consolidate 4th spot on the ladder. They take on Sandy Rovers next week and are out to avenge their first round loss. Best players on Sunday were Callum Pattie, Matt Hutchinson, Luke O’Toole and Glen Tempany. Congratulations to Matthew Phaedonos who also played his 150th game for the club. Matthew is a dual premiership player, runner up best and fairest and former Captain who now qualifies for life membership at the end of the season. UNDER 16/1
Playing Mossgiel Park at Barry Simon in a rematch of the local derby, the Eagles took the points comfortably for the second time this season. With Chris Clarke best afield, John Sacco continuing his good form in the ruck, Shane Crew recapturing his form at full forward and Justin Wild playing well on the ball, the side is looking in great shape with just one round to go until finals. UNDER 16/2
Hosting Tally Ho at Singleton, the match was close for most of the match with scores level at three quarter time. With the wind behind them in the last term however, the Eagles turned it on with their second 10-goal last quarter in a row to run out convincing winners. Best players were Chris Peake, Shaun Tongue and Chris Batikas. Thanks to Under 15’s players Peter Nitz, Andrew Cumming and Shannon Dubois for filling in and playing great games. UNDER 15/1
Taking on Noble Park at Robinson, the Eagles ran out comfortable winners with a good even four-quarter performace. Best on the day were Rohan Blythe, Travis Johnson and Matt Velardo. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 7.8.50 Def Noble Parl 3.8.26.

UNDER 15/2
Playing away to Waverley Panthers, the boys tried hard but were beaten by a much stronger opponent. Best players were Justin Gagalowicz, Wayne Magee and Justin Merlino. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 3.3.21 Lost to Waverley Panthers 13.16.94.

UNDER 14/1
Hosting Narre Warren on Saturday night, the boys backed up each other for four quarters in a good hit out leading up to the finals. Thanks to Narre Warren to agreeing to the game change. Best players were not named with Coach Danny Salt putting the bit victory down to a team effort. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 22.21.153 Def Narre Warren 2.6.18.

UNDER 14/2
Hosting North Dandenong at Robinson Oval, the game was played in good spirited by two evenly matched sides. The game was close until the last term when the opposition kicked away with the win. Well done to both sides with all boys involved putting in 100%. Best were Jason Randall, Elio Scarton and Evan Gillespie. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 4.7.31 Lost to North Dandenong 9.11.65.

UNDER 13/1
Playing third places Berwick at Singleton, the boys played committed football all day, however their ¾ time lead didn’t seem quite enough in the breezy conditions. However a fighting last term into the wind saw the Eagles run out 36-point winners in a gutsy performance. Best players were Matthew Handby, David Welling, Ben Andonov and Marc Rotunno. UNDER 12/1
Playing St Gerards at Singleton, the game was fought out in very windy conditions. With scores almost even at half time, the Eagles put in a sensational third term kicking into the strong breeze and restricting their opponents to just one goal. Three goals in the last quarter sealed the victory and kept the teams slim finals chances alive. Bets were Shane Peake, Chris Naylor and Chris O’Shae. UNDER 12/2
Playing Cranbourne away, the Eagles went into the match with only 14 players against a quality opponent. Coach Rex Ashendon was proud of his boys, as they fought the match out every inch of the way in difficult windy conditions. Though beaten by 10 points, the Eagles can hold their heads high. Playing away to Narre Warren, the match was fought out to the end, with a late goal from Nick Clysdale sealing the win for the Eagles. Best players were rad Virgona, Nick Clysdale and Craig Dix. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 3.9.27 Def Narre Warren 3.6.24.

UNDER 11/2
Hosting St Gerards at Singleton on Sunday, the boys teamed together to come away with a excellent team win. This year the boys have shown very good improvement and this should put them in good stead for next year. Best on the day were Jake Martin, Dean Kelly, Sean Wong, Josh Milroy, Ben Taylor and Andrew Stevenson. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 12.17.89 Def St Gerards 0.2.2.

UNDER 10/1
Taking on Pakenham away, the boys displayed great determination in the gusty conditions. With scores level at three quarter time, the boys unfortunately couldn’t hold on as the opposition kicked with the strong breeze. Nevertheless, another excellent performance from a team that is now starting to show some good improvement. Best were Justin Wright, Robert Mitchell, Ian Trenerry and Joshua Janssen. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 2.5.17 Lost to Pakenham 5.7.37.

UNDER 9
Playing Cranbourne away on Sunday morning, the boys had a good match in the windy conditions with all the team trying hard. Liam Scott, Kaelon Keller and Darcy Kilpatrick all had fun.
