ENDEAVOUR HILLS HAVE FOUR TEAMS IN GRAND FINALS

UNDER 11/1
Playing Beaconsfield at Berwick on Friday night in their Second Semi Final, the Eagles came away with a strong win to book their place in the Grand Final. Best players were Brad Virgona, Chris Tamplin, Craig Dix and Dean Kelly. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 10.9.60 Def Beaconsfield 3.6.24.

UNDER 13/1
Taking on Narre Warren on Sunday in their second encounter in three weeks it was the Eagles who came out strong winners. Coach John Cumming was pleased with the way his boys stuck to their task for four disciplined quarters of quality football as they increased their lead at every change. Best were Matthew Handby, Ben Woolgar, Chris Sharban and Trevor Edwards. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 12.11.83 Def Narre Warren 3.6.24.

UNDER 14/1
Facing Noble Park in their Second Semi final the Eagles were tested for one of the first times this season, but eventually came out strong 22 point victors. Rohan Nayna won the Umpires Medal for best on ground with good support from Captain Dale Kilpatrick and Scott Musgrove. This win booked their place in the Grand Final in two weeks time. Well done also to Luke Shore who played his 50th game. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 13.13.91 Def Noble Park 11.3.69.

UNDER 15/1
In their Second Semi Final battle against Narre Warren at Shepley early Sunday morning, the Eagles got off to a flyer scoring the first two goals of the match. By half time there was less then a kick in it, however Endeavour Hills second half cost them dearly with inaccurate kicking not helping the situation. In the end, the Eagles went down by 14 points in a disappointing display with only Jourel Goujon and Matt Velardo putting in four quarters. Congratulations to Nathan Rosario who played his 100th game for the club. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 4.11.35 Lost to Narre Warren 7.7.49.

UNDER 16/1
Playing the undefeated Hallam in the Second Semi Final at Shepley Oval, the Eagles for off to a slow start to trail by three goals at the first change. In the second term, Endeavour Hills got their act together to be within four points at half time. The second half however belonged to the Eagles as they put on six unanswered goals to run out 38 point victors as the team continued to run hard till the very end. Best players were Jesse Edmond who also received the Umpires Medal, Aaron Edwards, Chris Clarke and Justin Robinson. Congratulations to Justin Berry who played his 100th game for Endeavour Hills. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 11.7.73 Def Hallam 5.5.35.

UNDER 16/2
Playing Glen Hawks in their Second Semi Final at Springvale, a slow start by the Eagles cost them dearly. After conceding the first four goals of the match, Endeavour Hills matched it with the opposition for the rest of the game to prove they have what it takes to win. Best on the day were Shannon Williams, Chris Peake, Michael Kosmala and Dean Tolmac. Final Scores: Endeavour Hills 8.7.55 Lost to Glen Hawks 12.11.83.

UNDER 17
On Sunday the side travelled to Scammell Reserve to take on Waverley Panthers in a cutthroat Elimination Final. Four quarters of consistent football saw Doveton/Endeavour Hills run out victors to keep premiership hopes alive. Best players were Mark Grouios, Nathan Batty and Daniel Johnson. Final Scores: Doveton/Endeavour Hills 13.15.93 Def Waverley Panthers 5.11.41.

The club would also like to advise that there will be a training run for all the Dads who are playing in the annual Dads Vs Under 16’s match on Presentation Day, Sunday 10th September. Training will be held at Charles Green Reserve on Thursday 31st August at 7:00pm. Coach Peter Winstone has warned all Dads to be prepared for a hard night on the track.

Preliminary Finals this week see the Under 16/s’s playing Nth Dandenong at Newcomen Rd, Springvale at 10.00am on Sunday. The Under 15 Premier Division take on Glen Hawks at 1.00pm Sunday. This gives all our supporters the opportunity to attend both games, so please get out and cheer the boys on. The club want to see a sea of green and gold at both games as the two sides fight for their chances of a Grand Final berth. Remember, it costs adults $4-00 admission, however your ticket gets you into both grounds
